As the marketing assistant at Androscoggin Bank I am able to help create and layout print and digital advertisements for different departments of the bank such as our mortgage team and our commercial and business and government team. I have also created several print invites we sent to clients as well as created notebook covers and cards for internal use. I manage our Facebook account by creating and scheduling content. I manage our vendors by making sure we pay them on time as well as communicate our needs and expectations with their services. I update our company website when we have any changes and I put together our company newsletter that goes out every week.

As a marketing intern for Manpower Maine I wrote articles for the company newsletters including articles on resume and interviewing tips. I then created infographics for the articles. I created social media images for the Facebook page advertising jobs that were available. I took several online training classes from Manpowers free training website PowerYOU to test functionality for candidates. Icontacted cities around Maine to see if we could host a Pop-Up Job Fair and canvassed in Auburn by putting up posters and handing out informational cards.I helped improve search engine optimization on the website by entering meta descriptions. I learned how to use a design softwear called Canva and decided to make my website to show off the work I created over the summer.
The Patrick Dempsey Center for Cancer Hope & Healing

"The Patrick Dempsey Center for Cancer Hope & Healing provides free support, education and wellness services to anyone impacted by cancer. Since our doors opened in 2008, the Dempsey Center’s contacts have increased consistently, demonstrating the need for our services. The Dempsey Center’s warm, inviting environment includes a cancer resource center and lending library, integrative medicine rooms, Healing Garden, private consult rooms, health and fitness room, wig and headwear room, a demonstration kitchen, and dedicated space for cancer support group meetings and educational programs."
As a marketinng intern for The Patrick Dempsey Center I worked on a variety of projects. I wrote press releases for the Dempsey Challenge enticing people to nominate someone for the Amanda Dempsey Award. I created a social media content calendar and created images for Facebook and Twitter for both the center and for the fundraising event -The Dempsey Challenge. I Inputted content onto the new website. I Inputted information into the new newsletters that outlined the programs the center offers and when they are. I also gave opinions as to what products to sell at the fundraising event - The Dempsey Challenge. I was consulted several times as to what the millenial generation likes and how to appeal to them.

As a public relations intern for River Communications I wrote press releases for St. Kitts taxi promotional campaign. The campaign consisted of 10 St. Kitts branded taxis zipping around central London used to entice Londoners to travel to St. Kitts using British Airways. I Posted on the companies personal twitter page as well as the Oualie Beach twitter page. The company wanted to tweet about luxury brands, travel, fashion and healthcare as well as events going on around London. The Oualie twitter account posted about events going on the island as well as enticing people to visit the island. Icontacted bloggers for campaigns, we sent 5 bloggers on a paid trip to St. Kitts and had them blog and vlog about their experiences. I wrote newsletters for St. Kitts (London) which I then uploaded into Constant Contact to email to subscribers. River communications was also looking to expand their clientel so Iresearched potential new clients in the areas that most fit our company.
Rinck Advertising

As a promotional intern for Rinck advertising I got to interact with a wide variety of clients. I packaged blogger kits for Daily's Cocktails, Gorton's Seafood and McDonalds. I participated in promotional events in Maine parades helping to promote McDonalds new healthier kids options like go-hurts and apple slices. I attended the Lewiston B2B tradeshow for Amtrak Downeaster and promoted the service and enticed people to enter a competition to win train tickets. I inpuitted information and recipes onto the Reeses website. I researched potiential new clients for the agency and presented the information to the CEO. I also presented a final presentation for the CEO on intermodal transportation.
Applebee's - Hostess

As a hostess I greeted guests in a friendly manner creating a first impression of the restauraunt and the service. I would open the door for the guests and smile warmly and engage in small talk. I would then bring the guests to the appropriate table rotating them so that the servers get an equal amount of customers. If a customer requests special seating I would be accomodating and seat them where they prefered. As I seated a guest I would give them menues and silverware and tell them who their server and manager would be if they have any questions. When guests would leave I would ask how everything was and open the door again leaving a lasting impression of good service and hospitality.

My first summer I worked at Poland Spring Inn I worked in the dining hall. I assisted with clearing dishes, replenishing food, serving food and cleaning up the dining hall. My second summer I worked at Mel's Hilltop which was a restauraunt above the golf shop. I served the guests by taking their orders and serving them food.
